Course

The course of GFNY San Juan will take the cyclists through the spectacular and diverse lands of the Argentine northwest. Both routes start in the center of the city. The long course 96-mile (154 km), with a total ascent of 4,265 feet (almost 1300 m), will crown the winners, after two laps in the Ullum Valley, up to the Punta Negra dam, crossing the spectacular Interlagos route.

The cyclists will pass from the plains and small hills to the mountains of San Juna. They will end in the center of the city at the same starting point. The medium course of 57 miles (91 km) presents 2,200 feet (670 m) of total ascent, with a single return to the valley of Ullum, also crossing the incredible Interlagos route and enjoying the plains and hills of San Juan. This route is perfect for beginners and ends at the same starting point, the center of the city.

Long & Medium Course


LONG COURSE IS A COMPETITION: Only the finishers of the long course are eligible for category rankings and Overall and Podium awards. If you want to race and be ranked in your category, you must complete the long course. Top 10% of finishers in each age group earn a spot in the Qualifier Corral at every GFNY World event.

MEDIUM COURSE IS NOT A COMPETITION: The riders of the 50 miles medium course will be provided their start-to-finish time, but will not be ranked by finish time. All finish times will be listed in alphabetical order.
